feeling eternal (this body holding me)

if we were hushed mountains,
and cradled between ourselves
a silent sea,

if we were lush hills,
and cradled between us:
fertile valleys;

if we were earths, cool
with downy fog, cradled soft
between bright stars–

if we were:
two bare bodies, nestled close
and cradling between us,

feeling–

with all this, we might spill over
